Grading Information

Class Participation - 30%

You will receive a participation grade every class and it is a large part of your final grade. Participation includes:

1. Coming to class on time and prepared

2. Completing the daily questions in your math journal

3. Participating in discussions & answering questions

4. Being safe, responsible, and respectful

Class Work - 30%

Class Work is also a large part of your final grade and it includes: classroom activities, assignments, projects, and other graded products

Tests and Quizzes - 20%

Quizzes: If you earn an unsatisfactory grade on a quiz, you can make corrections and earn some of the points back.

Tests: There will be a Unit Test at the end of each topic covered. You can NOT make corrections to tests, the grade you receive is final - so make certain you study for them!

AIS/LAB Classwork & Participation - 20%

If your class has an attached AIS class, the work and participation during that class is also part of your math class grade.
